Why is it important to treat damp?

Damp-proofing and treating damp in your property

When we carry out damp work in your property, these are the steps we take to ensure we complete our work thoroughly:

We undertake a damp survey and produce a report
We agree a schedule of works so we can give an accurate quote
All internal plaster is removed to a height of approximately 1.2m, exposing the underlying masonry
An injectable damp course is installed and we re-render using sand and cement, with a waterproofing admixture. This prevents the residual moisture reaching decorative surfaces during drying, and stops hygroscopic salts coming through, as they would continue to attract moisture.
The render dries out over the course of a week, and we then return to re-plaster, fit skirting boards and complete any other works quoted for.
